Since the day after he left GARD, Finn hadn’t so much as sniffed a bush. He goes outside to his preferred corner, does his business and cowers until he’s taken in.
Until this morning. He actually wandered about my friend’s yard and sniffed a bit. Doesn’t sound like much but for a dog as traumatized as Finn it’s a huge accomplishment.
With abused dogs it’s the small steps that count. One day it’ll add up to a giant leap for Finn.
