Given GARD’s annual income ($180,916 in 2018 according to the IRS 990 or as much as $917,000 net based on my math earlier) one would expect GARD to have plenty of dog food and plenty of money to purchase whatever specialized food required.
Between April 30, 2020 and July 6, 2020–three months give or take–GARD publicly begged for dog food four times. More than one individual responded with claims of sending cases of the requested food.
Would someone please explain why GARD can’t manage to purchase food for the animals in their custody? They certainly bring in enough money to feed the animals. If GARD can’t afford to feed them, GARD shouldn’t have them to start with.
